The Seahawks headed Johnston’s Summit Middle School this past weekend (10/24-10/25) to compete at the CIA Fall Mixer USA swim meet. The team had 25+ personal best races and season has just begun! SDMS scored 568.5 points as a whole and had three additional Midwest Regional qualifications.

SDMS started their USA swimming season with outstanding swims at the ACAC Autumn Opener meet held in Ames Friday-Sunday (10/16-18). With 10 teams in attendance, there was great competition. In fact, several swimmers met Midwest Regional “Q” times already! Plus – the Seahawks had 18 finishes in the top 6 and won three events!

The girls team is off to a great start! They’ve won the first three meets of the season, most recently a double dual meet against Perry and Algona last night (8/27).
