SDMS Seahawks Swim “Battle of the Ages” Meet
SDMS held the Battle of the Ages meet on Monday (1/18). The Battle of the Ages meet is a little different from the other SDMS club meets (though the events are the same). First of all, the events are seeded by time. So regardless of age, everyone was swimming with others of a similar time. The other big difference is ribbons are awarded overall, rather than the age-group and male/female.
The meet was filled with fun and exciting races. Particularly the relays, which had all ages mixed together based solely times. All in all, everyone did great at their first SDMS meet back from break! See more meet highlights and some photos below.

Up Next
Gray vs. Gold Rematch, February 8: The Seahawks have one last inter-squad “dual” meet. Gray vs. Gold will be competing again in a standard-format meet. This is the last chance to drop some time and earn ribbons before the SDMS Championship Meet! The championship meet is very exciting too, so please plan to attend (Feb. 22). Swimmers have the chance to earn medals! Plus, it’s a “last chance” meet to qualify for Midwest Regionals (view current qualifiers).
