The summer season just ended, but SDMS is already gearing up for our next swim programs, the Winter Club season and the Advanced/USA Elite Fall Swim Camp. Read more about the registration options and details below.
Winter Club Season
The winter club season works just like the summer season. Athletes attend ability-specific practices and swim at meets at various nights. Plus – there is a SDMS Championship swim meet on February 28th where swimmers have the chance to earn medals!
Season Dates: October 21-February 27
Season Fee: $255/Novice or Intermediate swimmer.
Please read the practice schedule below carefully. It us not required to attend every practice each week. We understand October to February is a long-time to commit to three or four practices a week. Just a reminder, some practice slots are partially full due to “year-round” and “summer & winter” registrations from March.
Tues/Thurs 6:00-7:00PM & Saturday 11:30-12:30PM
Tues/Thurs 7:00-8:00PM & Saturday 12:30-1:30PM
Mon/Wed/Fri 6:00-7:00PM & Saturday 10:00-11:00AM
Middle School Elite Swimmers*:
Mon/Wed/Fri 6:00-7:30PM & Saturday 10:00-11:30AM
Year-round Advanced and MS Elite swimmers begin winter season on Sept. 9, as part of their fall swim camp.
Just a reminder: If you registered and paid for “Year-round” or “Summer & Winter” club swimming, you would have already chosen your winter club season spot in March and DO NOT need to re-register.
Swimmers who qualify for the MidWest Regionals meet in Minnesota can practice an additional month and will swim in the big two day meet, typically in March. If your child qualifies for this meet, there is an additional fee for meet registration and practice times. Read this page to learn more about MidWest Regionals (last year’s details). Details for the 2020 meet will be posted in early 2020 as the meet dates get closer.
