SDMS USA swimmers have the option to swim at USA swim meets with a paid USA athlete membership and payment of any USA meet fees ($10+ depending on the number of entries).

The membership in a one-time annual payment for full year and is paid to SDMS. SDMS then pays USA Swimming directly for all of our USA members. Every member is asked to renew each fall via the SDMS online store.

USA swim meet sign-ups work differently than club meets. Because there are very strict deadlines for entry and the events vary from meet to meet, we opt to do sign-ups via email. All applicable information is sent by email. You sign-up by replying to Coach Weber with your swimmer(s) events.

USA Meet Schedule – Winter 2019-20
USA Meets are held on the weekends. Below are the meets that SDMS plans to attend as a team during the 2018-19 winter season. With the addition of a few new USA teams in the metro area, the number of local meets is higher than ever before. As a result, you are welcome to attend additional meets as an “unattached swimmer” without a coach. However, that means you’ll need to access the meet information on the ISI Swimming website, send your fees to the host school and sign-up your events without Coach Weber’s assistance.

Note: ISI is the Iowa Chapter of USA Swimming. The qualifying times and corresponding age bracket are based on an athlete’s age the day of the meet. For example the ISI Short Course Age-Group Championships are held Feb. 14-17, 2019, while the Senior Group Short Course Championships are Feb. 21-24, 2019. So use your child’s age on those dates when looking at applicable qualifying times. All athletes must be USA members to participate in this meet (and other USA swim meets).
