Summer Swim Team & Lessons Registration is Open!

The winter season officially ended just two weeks ago with the Midwest Regional meet in Minnesota March 23-24. But SDMS is already gearing up for our next swim programs – the Summer Club season and Spring & Summer Swim Lessons. Registration for all programs is currently open! Read more about the registration options and details below.

Summer Club Seasonal Registration
The summer club season works just like the winter season. The team will go to ability-specific practices and swim at meets in the evening every few weeks. This season we’ve got three meets planned for the general club level. You can view the days/dates on the club meet schedule, including the Summer SDMS Championship swim meet on July 25th where swimmers have the chance to earn medals!

Season Dates: June 3 – July 25
Season Fee: $150/Novice or Intermediate swimmer & $180/Advanced swimmer
If you’re interested in the annual pay option, you can read more about this payment option here.

Please read the practice schedule below carefully. With no school in session, the times and options are different than the winter season.

Novice/Intermediate Swimmers:
Monday-Thursday 10:00-11:00AM
OR
Monday-Thursday 6:00-7:00PM

Novice & Intermediate Swimmers practice 4 days/week in the summer and the evening option is Monday-Thursday (just like mornings).

Advanced Swimmers:
Monday-Friday 9:00-10:00AM
OR
Monday-Friday 6:00-7:ooPM

Advanced swimmers practice Monday-Friday in the summer, which allows for less missed practice due to weekend USA meets.

Please note: while the evening classes overlap for Advanced and Nov/Int, these swimmers will not be doing the same workouts. This overlap is simply due to the small number of swimmers who opt for evening practices during the summer time (typically only about 10 athletes across all levels). This allows us to be more cost-effective with our staff and pool resources and time.

Note: Middle School Elite Swimmers practice chose from the Advanced practice options above for summer season.

Swim Lessons | Spring & Summer
South DM Swimming is proud to offer swim programs for all levels of athletes. A key piece to this vision is the SDMS Lessons Program. In 2015, we were able to expand our lessons program to offer a spring lesson and evening summer lessons for the first time. And in 2018, we expanded again to offer early Spring lessons in April for the first time!

The swim lessons program has in-water instructors and three class levels. The program is designed to help non-swimmers gain the skills needed to join the SDMS club team at novice practices once all three levels of lessons are complete.
