The SDMS USA swimmers enjoyed their first meet of the summer this past weekend (6/9-11) at the ACAC Rock The Blocks competition. Long-course meets are a unique chance to swim very differently than standard club or high school swimming since the races take place in a 50 meter pool. SDMS had some great benchmark swims and a few events made the finals!

• Aubrey Douds made the finals in the 13-14 Girls 50 Free (30.67) and 200 Free (2:27.75)
• Torin Lackmann made the finals in the 13-14 Girls 100 Breaststroke (1:27.10)
• Catherine Dooley made the finals in the 15 and Over Girls 100 Breaststroke (1:28.22)
• Erica Benson made the finals in the 15 and Over Girls 100 Fly (1:26.99)
• Keegan Kraft dropped 12 seconds in his 9-10 Boys 100 Back (1:49.78) finishing 12th overall
• Hannah Groos swam her 13-14 Girls 100 Back in 1:25.62 (-2.05 seconds)
• Brianna Neifert dropped 8.11 seconds in her 13-14 Girls 100 Back finishing in 1:25.99
