The summer season just ended, but SDMS is already gearing up for our next swim programs, the Winter Club season and the Advanced/USA Elite Fall Swim Camp. Read more about the registration options and details below.
Winter Club Season
The winter club season works just like the summer season. The team will go to ability-specific practices and swim at meets on Monday nights. Plus – there is a SDMS Championship swim meet on February 23rd where swimmers have the chance to earn medals!
Season Dates: October 20-February 23
Season Fee: $155/Novice or Intermediate swimmer & $175/Advanced or USA Elite swimmer
Please read the practice schedule below carefully. It’s slightly different than last winter’s season. Just a reminder, some practice slots are partially full due to “year-round” and “summer & winter” registrations from March.
Tues/Thurs 6:00-7:00PM & Saturday 12:30-1:30PM
Tues/Thurs 7:00-8:00PM & Saturday 1:30-2:30PM
Mon/Wed 7:00-8:00pm & Saturday 11:30-12:30PM
New! An extra practice option for Novice/Intermediate swimmers!
Advanced/USA Elite Swimmers:
Mon/Wed/Fri 6:00-7:00PM & Saturday 10:30-11:30AM
Note: With the new Invite Only Advanced/USA Elite Middle School Swimmers practice, we only have one option for elementary Advanced/USA Elite swimmers. They will still practice four days week all winter. The Invite Only group will practice Monday-Friday 5:00-6:00PM beginning September 3rd.
Just a reminder: If you registered and paid for “Year-round” or “Summer & Winter” club swimming, you would have already chosen your winter club season spot in March and DO NOT need to re-register.
Advanced/USA Elite Fall Swim Camp
This swim camp is for SDMS Advanced and USA Elite swimmers (who are not in the Invite Only group). It’s a chance for them to swim four days a week to stay in swimming shape for the upcoming competitive season. Spots in the camp are limited as many were filled by our year-round swimmers. So be sure to sign up early if you’d like a slot!
Camp Dates: September 3-27 (No practice on Labor Day, so we’ll start on Wednesday)
Camp Fee: $45/swimmer (Must be in Advanced/USA Elite practices to be eligible)
Camp Practices: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00-7:00PM & Saturday 10:30-11:30AM
Just a reminder: If you signed your athlete up for Year-Round Advanced or USA Elite swimming, they ALREADY have a spot in this camp. You don’t have to re-register them. You will simply confirm attendance to the camp via an email to Coach Weber.
Swimmers who qualify for the MidWest Regionals meet in Minnesota can practice an additional month and will swim in the big two day meet, March 28 & 29! If your child qualifies for this meet, there is an additional fee for meet registration and practice times. Read this article to learn more about MidWest Regionals (last year’s details). Details for the 2015 meet will be posted in early 2015 as the meet dates get closer.
