The 12 & Under ISI Short Course Championship Meet was in Iowa City this past weekend (2/20-2/22). The Seahawks sent four athletes, representing 10 events, to the meet.

• Will Bennett (200 Free, 100 Free, 50 Free)
• Catherine Dooley (50 Breaststroke, 100 Breaststroke)
• Torin Lackmann (50 Breaststroke, 100 Breaststroke)
• Ellie Sizemore (200 Free, 100 Free, 50 Free)

Meet Highlights

All had a great meet! Here’s just one highlight about each swimmer:

• Will Bennett finished in the top 10 in two of his events – 100 Free and 50 Free (11-12 Boys)
• Catherine Dooley dropped over 11 seconds in her 100 Breaststroke to a time of 1:27.26!
• Torin Lackmann swam a 38.58 in the 11-12 Girls 50 Breaststroke, a new personal best
• Ellie Sizemore moved up 8 spots on the 11-12 Girls 50 with a finals time of 29.43

ISI State’s 13 & Over meet will take place this coming weekend (2/26-3/1) in at Grinnell College’s pool. The Seahawks will be rooting for Sara Bennett, who is swimming the 50 Free.
