Summer Season Begins This Week!
Hot days, no school and club swimming – a perfect recipe for a great summer!
The summer season begins this week on June 4th. SDMS is trying something new this summer, we are not swimming as part of a conference. You may recall seeing some emails on this subject in the spring highlighting several reasons for the change. The biggest reason is simply that our team was the largest so we were often swimming ourselves anyway! Of course, we will still have great, professional meets all season which will culminate in the SDMS Championship meet at the end.
Meet Schedule
June 16: Gray vs. Gold Challenge
June 23: Seahawk Sprint Classic
July 7: Gray vs. Gold Challenge Rematch
July 21: SDMS Championship Meet
The meets are spaced this way to maximize the season’s potential – allowing time for practice before meets begin and time for taper prior to the championship meet. For USA swimmers, be sure to check your meet schedule under the USA Swimming tab since you’ll have extra meets.
Note: Rosters for the Gray vs. Gold meets have not yet been announced.
Practice Schedule
Practices are held as below. See the June Practice Schedule for the exact days/dates of practices.
